Cork Institute
of Technology is one of Ireland's major higher

6,500 full-time students and a similar number

Technologies for Embedded Computing (TEC) Centre
at Cork Institute of Technology, was founded
in 2006 through Enterprise Ireland’s Applied
Research Enhancement Programme. Its focus on
embedded computing is central to sustaining
our modern economy; without these embedded systems
many appliances would not function. The Centre
is working with industry to implement networkable
electronics systems to be integrated into everyday
objects. |

Control Group (ACG), a research group within
the CIT Department of Electronic Engineering,
investigates the development of conceptual,
theoretical and applied advances in control
and its allied disciplines to enhance the quality
of education and research in the area and to
provide innovative solutions for industrial

The Tyndall
National Institute (Tyndall) was developed as
an initiative between the Department of Enterprise
Trade and Employment and UCC to bring together
complementary activities in photonics, electronics
and networking research at the National Microelectronics
Research Centre (NMRC), several UCC academic
departments and CIT. |

a newly compiled Light version of UbiOne Location
system. The UbiOne location system is a general-purpose
location system developed primarily to meet
